Diploma students in the Adventure Studies Department have just wrapped up their first assignment in faculty member Bridget’s ADVG 1276 Business and Marketing for Adventure Operations course, and it’s nothing short of exciting! This group project challenged students to create a captivating 20-30 second video that highlights not one, but two incredible brands: GURU and Adventure Studies.

GURU, the trailblazing company known for their organic energy drinks, sent the department several boxes of GURU to fuel our students and their project. The objective was to showcase student adventures while expanding the program’s online presence. The assignment required students to come up with a storyline that reflects the adventurous, authentic spirit of both the Adventure Studies Department and GURU.

As a department, we couldn’t be more thrilled to feature two of our favorite projects and celebrate our students’ creativity. Stay tuned, because these students are just getting started and we can’t wait to share what they have planned for their final assignment: a marketing plan!

We loved their creative campaign idea, and their unique slides that encompassed the GURU brand.

Our second favorite was Fuel Your Adventure by Fred, Annabelle, Sebastien and Kendall.

Their video had awesome footage from field courses that paired perfectly with their song choice.
